so are we going to use new fanpatch? personally i like current fanpatch and dont like the new fanpatch that much. I feel it is only for current fanpatch users who are in top level in ESO. For them French is a bit OP and aztecs is a bit UP. Yea, I think French is pretty good and aztecs now might need a bit boost. But I don't think we need that...French is OP for them just because they use them really good. In GR we don't...do we? They also say Ports is one of the best in team game....is it? in GR? Dutch is one of the fastest, strongest civ in FP....is it?!?!? IMO the civ strength in GR is like this: OP: very strong: Late Japanese, late Chinese, late Russian strong: Indian, Japan, late French, Sioux(in team) decent: German, Iroq(we cant use them well lol) average: Chinese French, Brits, Sioux, Ports poor: Aztecs, Spanish, Russian, Otto very poor: UP: ...what i want to say is that we don't need french nerf :-P We need to fix disciple aura problem in certain maps though | |

It has better balance overall, including better team game balance. On GR we have a few players that can compete with PR 40+ players, so yes we do have them. Mr. Love ha already beaten the #2 player on ESO, he can show you his ELO if you are that intrigued to know. As for you Mies, odds are you won't even see a change for the most part. You may have to slightly adjust your build orders, but overall you won't see much of a difference. For those that are curious, I'll have FP 1.2 fully converted by tomorrow. Wether or not you choose to upgrade to the new patch, is totally up to you. Frankly, I'd like to be using the same patch the pro's are using, so I can be comparable to them. You on the other hand may not feel the same way, and may prefer a less balanced patch. Regardless, I'll be posting the downloads at each of your clan sites. | |

I do not think FP 1.2 is good simply because most mac players are not that good maybe around 20% or so are but for most of us it will just destroy many civs. IMO Fp 1.1 is perfectly balanced for most mac players. Call me a noob if you want but i really do not think FP 1.2 is good for most mac players. | |

Well this is pretty much what everyone said when the first FP was released. And here we are today all using it. No one is forcing you to download it, but don't knock it till you've tried it. I've already had a few games on it earlier. It's better from my experience. | |

oh rly? i strongly recommended all my friends to use fanpatch and i loved it. I don't remember that... well yea maybe we should try and then think :-P btw i checked almost all changes...and i agree with some of the changes(seps should be nerfed!) >Late French OP hmmmmm in FP no...you can't make cuir in 0sec hehehe I'd rather say late russian op. opris rule!!!

Its weird if u dont accept the second one, and to answer your question, i was one of the people that didnt like the first fanpatch, cause i didnt see the point and i threw in the same arguments that you mentioned. And i agree with you mies when you say that its only player dependant, thats exactly what i said too the first time, that for ESO pros it might be different. The only difference here is, in the last ESO tournies they made a couple VODs showing the Pros doing their strats, and from what i experienced people would just do those. I have actually no idea why french is so good, maybe its just the Pros playing them with their BOs but ey.. they have a brits economy without even have to worry about so many vills and making so many houses. At least thats what i experienced. Why did you agree on the first patch? Only thing i could criticize is that it'll take a while to spread it. | |

grow some nuts lads.... whats to argue about? its fucken sick that we have this here so quickly, we should be grateful to icourt for switching it over asap. there is no reason to dissagree with this fanpatch being utilised other then... mm im too lazy to install it so ill bitch about it. if you cant see why french are op mies, then you havent played enough skilled players as french in 1v1... because its blatently obvious that they have much more variety in what they can do and no weakness what so ever. mies you use this word OP more than anyone on GR, so i would have thought youd be glad to welcome a new more fair fanpatch, plus it gives the game more interest. im excited to try new strats and play some of the old civs that couldnt stand up too well vs others. honestly lads dont boycot this because its a good thing, no harm being done from it, and if you want to stay on the old patch then.... your to blame for splitting community etc etc, shouldnt be a question to install or not, because as love said we all agreed on the first fp, so we're commited to the second fp imo cheers icourt. | |

At every stages of this pyramid we are losing players, that's a fact… this have to stop one day, a bigger community always give better players than in a smallest… even with a game which is a little unbalanced. | |

Hi guys, I thought I would give my opinion on this: Firstly, and I mean no offense to ANYBODY, but having had the chance to play with some of the 40+ players on ESO, in my opinion, there is nobody here close to their level. That is no insult, merely we don't spend nearly as much time playing the game, we're a fun community, not a competitive one. The average skill level of us, based on me, is probably around the 18-25 level, although there are of course some exceptions. I say once again, I don't mean to say I'm better than anyone else, or that anybody is bad. Secondly, I play a fair bit on both TAD 1.02 and FP 1.1. Even a weak player like me can feel the difference when playing on these, different civs are easier and harder. But guys, I really can't understand the argument here. 1.2 has been ported over (thx so much iCourt) and all we have to do is download it. I understand completely if you want to stick to 1.02 and play the game like ES intended it to be played. I can't understand playing 1.1, but not 1.2. | |

The fp was made for the sake of greater balance, and we use it because we enjoy the improvement it brings to the game, and 1.2 promises to further these improvements, but some people don't want to use it because it is TOO (?!) balanced? I don't understand. The patch addresses the flaws of 1.1. So like I said, guys, either play 1.02 or 1.2, but I really can't understand not using 1.2 | |

The easiest solution to this problem is that people must realize that times change, and as the times change so does everything else. Go with the flow, make the patch UP TO DATE with that of everyone else playing AoE. Would you like to compete at a level where the pros and all of ESO play on? I would certainly hope so. In short, quit your bitching, download the new patch, and spread it throughout game ranger. If you don't do this, you might as well uninstall right now. Anyone who doesn't play with the current must come to terms with leaving behind their old strats and make new ones. | |

When I posted this icourt even announced it yet and the conclusion you made is to use the new patch. so yea i'm going to use too then :-P

I haven't played against skilled french. That means we don't have enough skilled french players. That means French nerf is not appropriate....lol | |

Not sure what you're arguing about Takis. I play more 1v1's than I do team games. So really is all on perspective. This patch has better team balance anyways, so again, what's your argument? Where you trying to go with this? | |

Where you trying to go with this? i've 1v1ed basher's and hastings' french(court named DB basher and hastings as top french players), got beaten and beat them, and i p-e-r-s-o-n-a-l-l-y didn't feel french too strong. isn't that enough to say we don't have enough skilled french players? ummm then i can't insist on that...:P Where you trying to go with this? | |
