can i please be unbanned from the shoutbox, ive asked a shoutbox administrator but no good, hoping a V member will help me out. | |

I believe you lost those privileges when you either spam the shout box, or post under an anonymous name. Such as all the Mickey Mouse, Obama, and Biden spam that was in there. It's one thing to post those comments as yourself, it's another to use a false name. It's an IP address ban, so mods know who you are. | |

Once I get my hands on the IP ban logs, or Voz, we will determine who was banned for what. If you posted under a stupid name with a rant, then the ban will not be lifted. | |

i remember why i got banned, it was because i kept posting as a guest but then after i would say oh this is minus right after, may have been seen as spam. (EDIT) why does Emoney get to post and i dont, lewl. | |

e money has a special place on that shoutbox, we all know this. minus if you were banned for spamming as a guest then there's nothing much we're going to do about it. | |

hey so well im just gonna help a few brothers out.. first things first im guessing that it is an IP ban.. how do you get rid of an ip ban?? you reset your ip.. so to do that all you have to do is disconnect your router, then disconnect your modem then replug it all back in and VWALLLLLLA your unbanned.. now one other thing that you can do if it doesnt work is to "reset safari" but dont reset it.. all you have to do is clear cache, empty history, and delete all the cookies.. cookies are located in Safari>preferences>security tab>show cookies> then delete them.. one or the combination of both of the above solutions will get you unbanned from the |V| shoutbox oh also.. this does work... i helped a brother out before getting unbanned from the ventrilo ip address ban with this precedure.. he knows who he is | |

So DB, all I gotta do is turn off router, unplug it, plug back in, turn back on? P.S. I reset safari every time before I close safari because I don't want my mom looking at my history of aoe3 forums. And even after resetting it I'm still banned. | |

DB learn more about how the internet works, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) assigns your household an IP for it to connect to the various servers in the world. Resetting your modem won't work, nor will unplugging it and clearing your private data on Safari. Idiot. | |

actually DB, thats not correct. we can ban up to the ###.x.x.x level. your router will only reset you to ###.#.x.x level. | |

Maybe give everyone second chance? If they still can't follow the rules, then yea, no excuses next time. My GR acct (and comp itself) got suspended for a week one time, and it wasn't exactly my fault*. They go by ip (or mb MAC address, who knows), and I know it sucks lol. I think it was fair that GR didn't ban me forever but just suspnded for 7 days for the first time. We all want this site (and aoe) more active, right? *I do think blaming circumstances is lame (and I still do it sometimes lol). e.g. My teammate was a noob, and that's why we lost... It might be true in math, but saying that doesn't help anyone. Instead, one could give the "noob" some advice and/or mainly improve him/herself so ideally he/she can win with whatever team... Totally off topic, let's pretend it's my signature | |

If I remember correctly iRush got you a temporary ban for flaming extremely bad after a vanilla game. It's an IP ban, so both accounts would be disabled. | |

Mînµs.ØdØ ty for unbanning me vozohe no guests are banned just for posting as guests, theyre banned for impersonating others or spamming. huge difference. ^^ that minus isn't me, im still banned | |

ok DB and i confirmed, you can undo a vent ban, a website ban, AND a skype ban by unplugging your router, so voz and em, congrats, you get to wear the "WRONG" hat! | |
