Summer 2010 Tournament Discussion Age of Empires III TAD/TWC/Fanpatch Tournament 2 When? May? June? What day do you guys get done with finals or start summer? When could you be relatively active for a large tournament. What? 1v1 Tournament? 2v2 Tournament? dare I say 3v3 Tournament? Double elimination? Single Elimination? Changes! The screenshot email system from Fanpatch Tournament 1 will be replaced with REC submissions. Game time's will be determined by competitors in specific-round-dedicated forum topics. | |

the most logical way to go about this is late late july, screen shots are much easier to acquire and if any one wants to watch the match can be viewed by players consent. Also 1v1, any more and scheduling would be roughly impossible. The community has tried to do 2v2 tournaments in the past, IE dukes tournament two years ago. Now you can argue that this said community has grown since, but lets be honest here im not going to want to work my schedule around 3 other people, its just not going to work that way. | |

2v2 would be cool ... to make it work you should just make tournament hours set b4 hand... say sat sun between 4 and 7 if the time dosent work for teams then certain people dont get to sign up | |

1v1... just so its easier to organize. Although 2v2 would be interesting. And double elimination would be nice (just so the tourney lasts longer). I don't see 3v3 ever really working... whether lag, getting together at same, so on... | |

everyone seems to login at the same time so 2v2 doesn't seem 'impossible'. 1v1 is proven to be doable for our gameranger community. 3v3 does seem to be out of the question now. im still not sure what the most popular month is. | |

... the world cup is like a huge chunk of june. the games wont take up an entire day though so it's looking like the tournament will be a slow pace june-july tournament. I'll have sign ups shortly Also, traditionally this has been co-run with participation from another clan representative. That clan rep gets access to the scoring software and tournament email account to help run everything. Contact me if your clan is interested. | |

I vote for 1v1 tournament and 2v2 might be really interesting and would connect our community more. will there be looser brackets? i hope so. and we need best of 5 or even 7 in the final. | |

I think 1v1 would be better for a tournament. I'd prefer the tournament to be in June, because if it goes into July I probably won't be able to participate since I'll be out of town. | |

I'm down for June or July. I'd prefer a 2v2 or 3v3 tourny but I realize the more people on a team the harder it is to organize, so a 1v1 would be fine. | |

Hey guys, with a new puppy and a competition to complete by the end of this month, I'll be delaying the summer tournament slightly. Full rules and sign-ups will be Jun 1-8, and we'll go from there tentatively as a 1v1 tournament. | |
