okay i have this issue... when i switch between contents folders in the vanilla aoe game to play vanilla on gameranger. The icon of the aoe application goes away and then it says i need an updater on gr but then it doesnt let me download it... 3 times now i've had to uninstall and reinstall all teh aoe games and i really want to know wat im doin wrong when i duplicate the contents folder because it wont let me switch bak to normal aoe vanilla without reinstallin all the games again ... PLZ HELP!!!!! | |

i had the same problem to an extent, and the reason for it was that i renamed the folder that i copied. the folder has to be restored to its original name exactly for aoe to recognise it. not sure though if this is why your having the problem. | |

so i make the Contents Copy folder that i make before download into Contents like the other one with patch thx borg | |

ugh... didnt work... teh same thing happened when i switch the Contents folders even though they have the same name... any one else know wat i do plz?
